Sample showcase projects created using Articulate Storyline 360. Review the showcase projects to get an idea of the various Instructional Design tools that I use on a frequent basis. The project needs are reflected in the development of the showcase item and vary by project.
Tool: Articulate Storyline 360 (Trial version) was used to create this project. The downside to utilizing the trial version is the limited availability of templates and characters. You definitely get a better idea and understanding of how this tool works.
Purpose: This interactive includes 5 scenarios on the important topic of Emotional Intelligence. Many people are aware of what IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is, but are uninformed of what EI (Emotional Intelligence) is. This interactive is used as a method of reiterating the scenarios as discussed in class so students can practice with their family, friends, or peers. Students select the answer that makes the most sense and can complete the interactive as many times as they would like. There are no submissions in their Learning Management System (LMS).
The Why: Emotional Intelligence is a very important topic and is used in a multitude of interactions, from professional to personal. This interactive will help users visualize these scenarios in an educational setting. Additionally, it will help users ponder over the outcomes as well as relate to how one may experience these scenarios in the real world within the learning process. When having these discussions in a classroom or virtual setting, it helps students to think about the possible ways to resolve disagreements in a respectable manner. Many times, we may be in the right, but calming the situation takes a lot of patience and a high level of emotional intelligence.
