This included keeping the computer labs, classroom technology, and faculty\/staff workstations up to date (hardware and software maintenance) and inventoried. Lastly, I provided training to faculty, staff, and students on best practices of technology usage as well as cyber security awareness. Additional training and workshops were provided on an as needed basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is a summary of the responsibilities my role included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Provide troubleshooting, support, and installation of new workstations, monitors, printers, scanners, peripherals, site-based networks, and databases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilize server based and standalone antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-malware software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommend purchases for new technology in line with campus technology needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep license inventory of all hardware and software in accordance with organization policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist faculty and staff with website design and development inquiries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage websites and supported departmental website updates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide assistive technology support for students with disabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate maintenance for workstations and technical equipment with departments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete quarterly technology inventory in preparation of yearly review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the Technology Support Specialist, I was in charge of ensuring the campus technology was functioning and up to date.
