You can create a Kahoot! From scratch or use the question banks that are provided (this option is for the paid tiers). The answer choices for the free version are multiple choice or true and false. Learn more about how <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kahoot.com\/schools\/how-it-works\" target=\"_blank\">Kahoot! works<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the benefit of this tool?<\/strong><br>I use this as a means of assessment in lieu of quizzes. Kahoot! allows me to get immediate feedback to asses if we met our learning objectives for the lesson. Additionally, the nonverbal (and sometimes verbal) feedback I receive from my students helps to modify my instruction. Lastly, this is a good tool to use for the introverted students who may know the answer, but is shy to say it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the disadvantage of this tool?<\/strong><br>In my view, the main disadvantage is the time settings. If a student requires additional time based on an accommodation, this can be a challenge to implement in Kahoot!.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do you pay for the service?<\/strong><br>No, I utilize the free version of Kahoot! as that fits my need. There are some features that are not available, but as I don\u2019t use it very frequently, the features that the free version provides are sufficient for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thoughts&#8230;<\/strong><br>As I use this tool, I do recommend it, but don\u2019t use it in every class. It is one of many tools in the toolkit. Also, to raise the stakes a little, you can associate some extra credit points to the winners. Lastly, make sure students have access to a device (cell phone, laptop, tablet, computer, etc.) and there is reliable internet in the classroom.
