There are a number of steps I take to stay ahead and manage my projects from inception.<\/p>\n<p>These were the steps followed for the projects I managed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Utilize a <strong>Course Development Progress Spreadsheet<\/strong><br \/>\nThis Microsoft Excel spreadsheet utilizes conditional formatting and is saved on my OneDrive. A shared link provided to all stakeholders including program chairs, department chairs, course developers, and the director of Course Design and Production so they can view progress on the course(s) at anytime. The spreadsheet is updated at minimum on a daily basis.<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 20px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Keep a <strong>Quality Assurance Checklist<\/strong><br \/>\nThe purpose of this checklist is to ensure that faculty get a quality course and students have a very positive experience taking the course. The checklist assists in making sure various aspects of the course are functioning the way they should. For example, the grade center is setup correctly, whether using points or weights. weights are setup correctly.<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 20px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Keep\u00a0<strong>Open Communication<\/strong><br \/>\nAlthough this is third on my list in sequence, in my view, this is by far one of the most important if not the most important step. Open and clear communication can clear up misconceptions, keep all stakeholders informed of requirements, expectations, and any issues that may cause the development to be delayed or postponed. Communication can be conducted in any way that is best for the all stakeholders, such as in person, Zoom, phone, or via email. <span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 20px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working on numerous course developments at a time is both exciting and can also be challenging.
